Purpose

Since he was young, Jun-Yi, 26, has been fascinated with animals and insects. He would not bear to hurt even the ants at home. A staple diet of National Geographic and Wildlife TV has expanded his knowledge of the animal kingdom, while drawing has become a channel of communication for him.

With the help of his father, Mr Roland Tay, 66, Jun-Yi is able to share his drawings through The Animal Project, a company that employs autistic adults and trains them in product development and merchandising. Jun-Yi looks forward to weekly trips to replenish the products stocked at the zoo’s gift store and visit the animals there.
